Again
Rode in and back yesterday, only to have the back wheel on the One Way get all out of shape again. Something is definitely up. Not happy ’bout that. Looks like I’m back to the shop…
Back In Action
Got the rear wheel sorted out and rode the One Way from work to the station without incident… save my lungs, that is. Who’d have thought nearly two months out of the saddle and doing no type of cardio would impact one’s ability to ride at their previous paces?
That will soon change.
Well…
I got the One Way this past Saturday but didn’t get a chance to ride until today when I commuted in to work. Turns out the shop forgot the little part where you tension the spokes on the rear wheel. The laced it and all… just didn’t tighten ‘em down. I didn’t discover this ’til I was half-way through the ride and my rear wheel was all over the place… I couldn’t turn around, so I just took it easy. Fun times. Not sure what’ll happen from here… don’t really want to take it to the shop that did it in the first place, but don’t really want to ask a friend to pick up the pieces from someone else’s slop, let alone pay a different shop to do it.
It was great, however, to be back in the saddle and riding again… it’d been a month and a half.
